Anna-Kaisa Meklin (FI)

Anna-Kaisa Meklin was born in Kangasniemi, Finland. She has been living in Basel since 2003, where she studied the viola de gamba with Paolo Pandolfo at Basle’s Schola Cantorum, and free improvisation with Walter Fähndrich. Meklin has taken part in many projects in the fields of improvisation, experimental music, theatre and early music, often with a band featuring Hans-Jürg Meier, Christoph Schiller and Giancarlo Nicolai. She recently took part in the production of two recordings of the Swedish composer Magnus Granberg for the record label Another Timbre.
